CASE Film Art School Programs are academically accredited and approved in the USA as recognised Honors Level College Preparatory courses. University of California (UC) approval demonstrates these courses are of high academic standard to prepare students for university-level studies. It ensures that CASE Film Art School graduates are identified by leading universities as high achieving, university-ready students.
In the competitive landscape of university applications both domestically and internationally, students who complete CASE Film Art School Programs will differentiate themselves from other applicants. Immersive Activities
Stage I – Analysis
The Analysis stage involves students gaining knowledge through immersive, inquiry-based activities focused on the film and arts industries. Students develop creative and cultural understanding through activities like artwork discussion, studio tours and live TV participation. They learn to appraise, critique, and reflect on how the arts are central to communities and cultures at large.













Stage II – Synthesis
The Synthesis learning stage equips students with skills and knowledge applicable to their personal and professional lives. Students actively explore and apply gained knowledge through specialised writing, pitching, acting and production workshops, which is then applied throughout their ChallengeX project. By participating in these workshops, students not only build individual skills but also adopt a stronge sense of teamwork.













Stage III – Thesis
After completing industry immersion activities and participating in the creative workshops and training, students put their skills to the test with ChallengeX Film Festival. This is where the higher order thinking framework and inquiry-based learning is demonstrated and celebrated. Students collaborate in small groups to create a captivating short film for the premiere night. ChallengeX Film Festival is an exciting red-carpet event that highlights the innovative ideas, technical mastery, and creative entrepreneurialism of the students, as they showcase their short films to a panel of expert judges.

Each morning students engage in mPOWER modules aimed to provide principles and guidance for their future endeavours. As part of the mPOWER module, the Disciplined Dreaming Framework inspires creativity, fostering the right attitude and strategies for success in life. Day 1
Your unique experience begins with CASE Film Art School! Students depart home for New York City, USA with a flight time of approximately 20-22 hours. On arrival into New York City, the scene is set with the official CASE Film Art School Opening Ceremony, an introduction to the Disciplined Dreaming Framework and team building activities. It’s then time for a well-earned rest in readiness for an exciting program.

Day 2
Get ready for an exhilarating adventure! Students will start the day by unleashing creativity with disciplined dreaming journaling activities, followed by a daily vlog inquiry to keep the inspiration flowing. Then, check out the Statue of Liberty and dive into a scriptwriting workshop at the renowned New York Film Academy. Students gain feedback on their short film script ideas in the first round of pitching, and then form into their ChallengeX Film Project groups.

Day 3
Unleash your inner storyteller with feedback and workshops of your script at NYFA! Students learn the secrets to crafting a captivating short story that’ll have audience members hooked. After all that creative exercise, it’s time to take a leisurely stroll through Central Park. Then, explore the world of art at MoMA and discuss the cultural impact of artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Warhol. Finally, students showcase their creative ideas with pitch preparation, using deisgn thinking strategies to take their pitching skills to the next level.

Day 4
Journey into the enthralling world of film with a tour at the Museum of the Moving Image, a treasure trove of movie memorabilia. Students dive into fun and engaging workshops on animation and editing in a live TV control room. Afterwards, it’s time for Pitch Fest, where students present their final scripts for the ChallengeX Film project to judges. To wrap up the day, an inspiring guest speaker will share valuable insights and motivate students on their creative adventure.

Day 5
Prepare to shine like a Hollywood star as you take part in an exciting acting workshop. Students learn new techniques to bring their performances to the next level. Then, become immersed into the world of musical theatre with a visit to the Broadway Museum. Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the iconic NBC studios, chatting to the clever writer’s room behind hilarious TV shows. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy a thrilling Broadway Show, featuring some of the best performers in the world!

Day 6
Students travel from New York, the City of Dreams to Los Angeles, the City of Lights, Camera, Action! Once we have hopped off the plane at LAX, our first stop will be the legendary Hollywood Boulevard to snap a group photo with the iconic Hollywood sign. Then, students will explore the Walk of Fame, walking in the footsteps of beloved stars. The evening will culminate at the historic TCL Theatre for a captivating blockbuster movie screening.

Day 7
Experience hands-on learning in the heart of the film industry! The day begins with an orientation at LA campus of New York Film Academy where students meet expert staff and explore facilities. Students dive straight into the action with a camera and lighting workshop. Followed by a directing workshop where students learn how to bring their creative vision to life on screen. Then it’s an evening of inspiration as students engage with a guest speaker from the film and/or arts industry.

Day 8
Students take on the ChallengeX Filmmaking Project, where they will put their skills to the test and produce their very own short films. Using the knowledge gained over the past week of immersion and workshops, students use state of the art technology to capture their scripts in authentic and innovative ways. Students wind down in the evening celebrating their hard work with karaoke and a dance party! It’s the perfect way to bond with their team members and acknowledge hard work.

Day 9
Enhance the creative mindset with a Disciplined Dreaming workshop, developing creative confidence and launching ideas into action. Heading out to NYFA, all students get an opportunity to direct, perform and shoot their very own short film. After a morning of filmmaking, we’ll head over to the iconic Griffith Observatory where students will marvel at the wondrous planetarium and take another group photo with the Hollywood sign. Finally, an evening reflection on personal growth with a daily vlog activity to complete a productive day.

Day 10
As the ChallengeX film project reaches its final post-production stage, students will have the opportunity to work with industry experts at NYFA and learn the art of editing to transform their short films into masterpieces. Students participate in a final Disciplined Dreaming session on fostering the creative skillset in other aspects of life. Students will also have the chance to watch back their daily vlogs over the past 10 days to showcase their individual personal growth journey.

Day 11
Get ready to experience Hollywood magic at Warner Bros Studio Tour. See the iconic sets, costumes, and props from your favourite TV shows and movies. Then it is time to dress up for the highly anticipated event – ChallengeX Film Festival! Students walk the red carpet and showcase their amazing short films to peers. The excitement continues with the Graduation Ceremony, where every student receives a CASE Film Art School certificate for their hard work and dedication.

Day 12
It’s time to end the program on one last high note! We begin the morning with a goal setting session to make the most of newfound creative skills. Then, we head to Sony Picture Studios for a live television experience where students get the opportunity to participate as an audience member in a game show! Students then head to Los Angeles International Airport for their late evening departure back home, feeling inspired, and ready to take on the world.

Day 13 - 14
Expedition completed! With a transit time of approximately 20-22 hours students can reflect on their adventure and are farewelled with a closing ceremony at the airport when the group arrives back home.
